Do I Tip Vendors?

You are not obligated to tip, if you feel that an exceptional job was done, then sure!

Who do I give the tips to?

Trail Hub does not touch vendor tips. We always suggest that you have your BM or MOH or even a parent be responsible for these envelopes.

While gratuities are always at your discretion, the following are common industry guidelines:

• Photographers: $100–$200, typically provided at the end of their contracted coverage time.
• Hair & Makeup Artists: 10–20% of the total service fee, provided once services are complete.
• Ceremony Musicians: $50–$100 per musician, provided at the conclusion of their performance.
• DJ or Live Band: DJs are commonly tipped $50–$250, while band members often receive $50–$100 each. Gratuities are typically provided at the end of their contracted time.
• Florists: Optional, though a gratuity of approximately $50 is common after delivery and setup.
• Transportation Drivers: 15–20% of the total service fee or bill, provided at the end of service.
• Wedding Coordinators/Planners: $200–$500 is customary, provided at the completion of their services.
• Cake Designers: Gratuities are not typically expected.
• Bartenders & Servers: Gratuities are often included by the venue. At Trail Hub, staff gratuities are included in your contract.
• Officiants: Optional, but $50–$100 is common. If your officiant is affiliated with a house of worship, a donation may be more appropriate.
• Photobooth Attendants & Other Entertainment Vendors: Optional, though $50 is a common gratuity, provided at the end of their contracted time.

Please note that gratuities are never mandatory and should reflect your satisfaction with the service provided.
